I really loved painting this because of the bold colours the blue shadows and vibrant red in this painting all compliment each other. Plus it is a very recognizable place in Vancouver BC Canada.

This painting was inspired from walking close to the Fraser river on a cold morning in February.

I really love the way the snow and dormant yellow ochre grass contrast with the trees and the ultramarine blue horizon.
